Saint Farah Restaurant

Design proposal

Berlin 2025

10.jpg

This initial design proposal presents a renovation concept for an existing restaurant, located in the heart of Mitte, Berlin. The guiding approach is minimal intervention, preserving the unique character of the space while introducing targeted design elements that enhance its atmosphere and functionality.

The restaurant’s central feature is a semi-outdoor dining area. The addition of wooden ceiling beams gives the space a greater sense of stability and permanence, while also emphasizing its spatial silhouette.

In addition to  the concept, existing furniture is reused and reimagined through a DIY-inspired upcycling process, adding authenticity and warmth to the space.

Inside, the design highlights and organizes the existing architectural elements using carefully chosen color palettes and textures. This approach creates a distinct separation between the entrance and the dining area, defined by a thick white beam that acts as a visual threshold.
